Simplified Municipal Telecommunications Tax Rate Changes Effective July 1, 2011
Effective July 1, 2011 the municipalities listed below are either imposing a simplified municipal telecommunications tax or increasing or decreasing their simplified municipal telecommunications tax rate. The combined rates are the statewide rate of 7.00 percent (.07) plus the Simplified Municipal Telecommunications Tax imposed at the local level (up to a maximum rate of 6.00 percent outside Chicago).
