Fiscal Focus
This periodical is designed to provide fiscal information of general interest and in compliance with state statutes. The articles in this issue take a closer look at the history and number of local governments in Illinois, and the relative importance of state aid and property taxes. There also is an article on the Local Government Division of the Comptrollers Office that reviews their interaction with local governments including information dissemination, training, and the collection of Annual Financial Reports, plus the 2006 Tables for April and May.
