Illinois Interlibrary Delivery System Review, Final Report

In 1980, De Leuw, Cather and Company conducted a study of a proposed statewide library document interchange system leading to the development of the Illinois Library Delivery Service (ILDS). System service was initiated in 1981. Over the decade, the system has grown in use and popularity. Minor modifications have been made during this time to meet the needs of member libraries. The Illinois State Library has contracted with De Leuw, Cather to review the current ILDS system and to make recommendations regarding its structure.
