State of Illinois Section 319-Biannual Report
Grants issued by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency under section 319 of the Clean Water Act include a condition requiring the submittal of a status report every six months. Non-point source pollution is the diffuse, intermittent runoff of pollutants from various sources. Major sources that contribute to Illinois' non-point source pollution problems are agriculture, construction erosion, urban runoff, hydraulic modifications, and resource extraction activities.
