With the support of the Illinois Mine Insurance Fund, the ISGS has prepared this publication in order to provide information to Illinois homowners who are concerned with or are experiencing subsidence associated with past mining activity. The publication describes common types of damages and problems associated with subsidence or mistakenly thought to be related to subsidence.
