Butterball Expands Operations in Kane County
Press release: Illinois Department of Commerce and Economic Opportunity (DCEO) Director Adam Pollet and Butterball, LLC, today announced that the nations largest producer of turkey products plans to create 75 jobs at its Montgomery plant in Kane County, increasing its workforce by 15 percent, as it invests $24 million to expand its turkey and pork processing operation. Garner, N.C.-based Butterball currently employs about 500 workers at the Montgomery plant, which it acquired upon purchasing family-owned Gusto Packing Company last year. The announcement is part of Governor Pat Quinns agenda to create jobs and drive the states economy forward.
