Lead Service Line Replacement Advisory Board: Report of Recommendations

There are two main factors (technical and financial) that drive the work behind lead service line replacement. As discussed throughout this report, when considering technical matters this Advisory Board recommends that special attention be given to evaluating replacement options, replacement methods and administrative challenges. Key challenges highlighted in this report include the ability to: establish an accurate inventory of lead service lines; collaborate with homeowners, property owners and other community water supplies; and, ensure a sufficient workforce. More importantly, these and other technical concerns and challenges may impact a community water supply's ability to timely and adequately comply with the Acts requirement to replace all lead service lines.
