Press Release: Chicago-Naperville-Arlington Heights, IL Metro Division. The not seasonally adjusted unemployment rate decreased to 3.6 percent in March 2019 from 3.9 percent in March 2018. The March 2019 unemployment rate is the lowest March unemployment rate on record. For the month of March 2019, the estimated number of unemployed people in the labor force was 133,500.
