The Illinois Department of Transportation has announced that daytime lane closures on Illinois Route 15 just east of St. Libory will begin on Monday, July 9, 2012, weather permitting. These lane restrictions will be needed during shoulder widening operations. Motorists are urged to use caution and allow extra time when traveling through the work zone. This work should be completed by August 8, 2012. The contractor on this project is Christ Bros. Asphalt Inc. of Lebanon, Illinois. Steve Putz is the Supervising Field Engineer for the Illinois Department of Transportation in this area.
The Illinois Department of Transportation today announced that lane restrictions will be encountered on IL-255 from I-270 to IL 143 beginning Monday, July 9, 2012, weather permitting. These lane restrictions are necessary to install rumble strips on the existing shoulders next to the edge of pavement. These closures will begin after 9:00 a.m. and be reopened by 3:00 p.m., daily.
