Press release stating minority students throughout Illinois higher education continue to register progress in enrollments and degree completions, according to a report to the Illinois Board of Higher Education. The annual Underrepresented Groups Report headlines a noteworthy array of informational reports to the Board at its regular meeting scheduled for June 7 at the University of Illinois at Chicago. In addition to the survey of campus diversity, Dr. Jennifer Presley, a noted researcher on trends in educational attainment, will address Board members on a study of college readiness and retention.
This report is being submitted pursuant to Senate Resolution No. 121, adopted May 20, 1999. Senate Resolution No. 121 directs the Office of Banks and Real Estate to monitor the manner in which banks of this state and of other states respond to and implement the provisions of the Banking on Illinois Act and to report annually to the General Assembly, until the year 2006, the effect that the Banking on Illinois Act has had upon the economic, financial, and employment climate of Illinois.
