A Cook County jury convicted this defendant of the March, 1999 aggravated criminal sexual assault of a woman which took place on the south side of Chicago. More than three years after the crime, he was arrested and charged, and his trial began in 2006. He received a life sentence, and the appellate court affirmed.
In 2007, a Cook County home healthcare worker suffered the partial loss of the use of both hands after breaking both wrists when she fell down a flight of stairs. While her workers compensation claim was pending, the care recipient in whose home she had been working passed away.
