Public Act 097-0245, the Administration of Psychotropic Medication to Children Act was enacted in Fiscal Year 2011. Among other things, it required that the Department of Children and Family Services (DCFS) promulgate final rules, amending its current rules establishing and maintaining standards and procedures to govern the administration of psychotropic medications.

2020 Recommendations to Increase Female and Minority Participation on Public Works. No later than December 31, 2020, the Department of Labor shall create recommendations to increase female and minority participation on public works projects by county. The Department of Labor shall use its own study, data from the U.S. Department of Labor's goals for Davis-Bacon Act covered projects, and any available data from the State or federal governments.

Press Release: Pursuant to 30 ILCS 500/45-70 the State of Illinois encourages State vendors to hire formerly incarcerated persons and notify the vendors of any available financial incentives or other advantages associated with hiring such persons. The act further requires that the Department of Central Management Services (CMS) report to the Governor and General Assembly theactivities undertaken by the Chief Procurement Officers and CMS to encourage potential vendors to consider hiring formerly incarcerated persons.
