The Illinois Department of Transportation announces that weather permitting, St. Clair Avenue near 21st Street in East St. Louis, IL, will be closed starting at 8:30 a.m. on Monday, June 25, 2012, and continuing for three (3) days through Wednesday, June 27, 2012. The road closure is necessary to allow the Terminal Railroad to rehabilitate their crossing.

Grants issued by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency under section 319 of the Clean Water Act include a condition requiring the submittal of a status report every six months. Nonpoint source pollution is the diffuse, intermittent runoff of pollutants from various sources. Major sources that contribute to Illinois' nonpoint source pollution problems are agriculture, construction erosion, urban runoff, hydrologic modifications, and resoure extraction activities.

Streambank Cleanup and Lakeshore Enhancement (SCALE) Program: Pilot

Illinois EPA announced the 2003 pilot SCALE program in December 2002. An application package was sent to approximately 100 civic and environmental groups. The mailing list included Section 319 applicants, regional planning commissions and local government offices throughout the state and citizen organizations that were known to have already held a clean up.

Standard Documents For Construction

The Standard Documents for Construction (SDC) apply to all Capital Development Board (CDB) projects. First issued in 1977, this is the eighteenth edition and includes significant revisions, clarifications, and additions. As of the 2006 edition of the SDC, the numbering system used for the Articles in the SDC changed. Articles were renumbered and reordered to conform to the 2004 CSI Master Format with 6 digits. Most sections within the SDC remained intact, but were relocated based on the new section number.

Tampier Lake/Saganashkee Slough Watersheds TMDL Report

This report documents the analysis and findings of stage 1 of the TMDL development for water segments within this watershed. Water quality data are gathered by the IEPA, the US Geological Survey, and the USEPA. Illinois is required to identify water bodies that do not meet water quality standards and to determine the Total Maximum Daily Load for pollutants causing the impairment.

The purpose of this document is to describe Illinois approach for meeting the BART requirements for emission sources in Illinois that have been shown to be BART-eligible. Technical analyses conducted by the Illinois EPA have shown that certain BART-eligible sources in Illinois are causing or contributing to visibility impairment in several Class I areas in the eastern United States, including Mammoth Cave National Park in Kentucky, the Mingo Wilderness Area in Missouri, and Isle Royale National Park in Michigan. Illinois is therefore required to submit revisions to its State Implementation Plan (SIP) to require that subject emission sources install cost effective retrofit control technologies, or provide equivalent emission reductions.
