The Intersystems Library Delivery Service (ILDS) is both a product of the active library resource sharing environment in Illinois and an innovative, unique contribution to the notable success of the state's cooperative programs. For one year now, ILDS has provided librarians throughout the state with an economic and timely alternative to the increasingly costly traditionally slow book rate services. It has facilitated extending the wealth of Illinois' library resources to all residents in the state, regardless of the location. The first year of ILDS operation has also demonstrated the feasibility of such a program and has generated what may be valuable information for others planning to initiate or manage a similar service.

Interchange of US 20 and IL 251 (Eleventh St.), south side of Rockford

The Illinois Department of Transportation announces today that weather permitting, construction work at the interchange of US 20 and IL 251 (Eleventh Street) will be starting on Monday, May 14, 2012. Rock Road Companies will be making repairs to ramps at the interchange on the south side of Rockford. The $97,032 project is expected to be completed in less than two weeks.
