I-55/70 at Exchange Avenue

The Illinois Department of Transportation today announced that both directions of I-55/70 will be closed from west of IL 203 to the I-55/70/64 split in East St. Louis beginning Friday, August 27, 2010 at 9:00 p.m. until Monday, August 30, 2010 at 5:00 a.m., weather permitting. This interstate closure is necessary to remove the bridge carrying Exchange Avenue over I-55/70. All traffic will be detoured around this area using I-255 and I-64.

The Illinois African-American Family Commission held its State of the African-American Family Symposium on June 22, 2010. The "Illinois assisted Housing and Residential Mobility Data Guide" was developed for the symposium and is presented here.
