College Access and Outreach: Capacity Development and Training

To ensure that Illinois develops a workforce that is prepared for the jobs of the future, the state has established a goal that 60% of Illinois adults will have a postsecondary degree or high quality credential by 2025. The Illinois Student Assistance Commission (ISAC) serves aspiring students in two key areas to help reach that goal, providing money and knowledge. These supports are particularly essential to address the obstacles facing low income students and those whose families lack experience with college. Supporting our students and families will mean a brighter future for them, and for our state.

However, stable housing for those in probation in recovery can potentially reduce relapse and recidivism. We examined recovery housing needs from the perspectives of probation supervisors and clients of Cook County Adult Probation.
