The Illinois Workers' Compensation Act [820 ILCS 305/29.2(a)] requires the Department of Insurance (the Department) to annually submit a written report detailing the state of the workers' compensation insurance market in Illinois to: the Governor, the Chairman of the Workers Compensation Commission, the President of the Senate, the Speaker of the House of Representatives, the Minority Leader of the Senate, and the Minority Leader of the House of Representatives. This report is based on calendar year 2021 data from the National Council on Compensation Insurance (NCCI) and the National Association of Insurance Commissioners (NAIC).
