An approved Maintenance Plan is required before an area can be redesignated from nonattainment to attainment of a National Ambient Air Quality Standard (NAAQS). This document provides technical information required to support a request to redesignate the Chicago NAA to attainment of the 1997 annual PM2.5 NAAQS. This revision incorporates motor vehicle emissions estimates developed using the U.S. EPAs MOVES model.
