John Edgar's Receipt Book (1783-1842) documents personal accounts of money owed and paid. The book was also used as a diary for recording Edgar's day to day interactions. John Edgar was a merchant, politician and land speculator in early Illinois.
The last living will and testament of Ninian Edwards, the first and only governor of the Illinois territory from 1809 until 1818. Edwards also served as the third Governor of Illinois from 1826 to 1830.
