Sales Tax Rate Change Summary

Effective July 1, 2011, certain taxing jurisdictions have imposed a local sales tax or changed their local sales tax rate on general merchandise sales. The following taxes are affected: home rule sales tax non-home rule sales tax business district sales tax county public safety tax county school facility tax These local sales taxes are referred to in this bulletin as locally imposed sales tax.

State to Resume Full Operations on Thursday, Feb 3

February 2, 2011. Governor Pat Quinn today announced that after implementation of the States Continuity of Operations / Continuity of Government Plan, regular state operations will resume tomorrow, Thursday, Feb. 3. The Illinois Department of Transportation (IDOT), the Illinois State Police (ISP),the Illinois Emergency Management Agency (IEMA), and the Illinois Department of Central Management Services (CMS) continue the response to winter weather across the state.
