James R. Stevens is the first named plaintiff of a group of former minority shareholders of a corporation known as Beeland Management LLC. They claimed that Beelands owner and majority shareholder, as well as Beelands two managers, misappropriated Beelands trademarks and other intellectual property to the detriment of that corporation.
This is an appeal from the dismissal of a counterclaim in an action to foreclose a reverse mortgage. Mary Muraida held title to her condominium unit in Oak Lawn pursuant to a 1991 land trust as to which defendant-appellant Standard Bank and Trust was trustee. On July 9, 2009, she entered into a reverse mortgage on the unit.
