The Electronic Documents of Illinois provides permanent public access to official publications of the State of Illinois which have been deposited in electronic form.
This publication consists of the agreements between the State of Illinois acting through the Department on Aging and the Berwyn-Cicero Council on Aging, St. Alibe's Senior Apartments, the City of Oak Forest, the Village of Crestwood, Rich Township and Waukegan Township for services to senior citizens.
Unfortunately, many computer systems designed to serve criminal justice and law enforcement agencies in Illinois lack a common language, but they must share information to facilitate day-to-day operation of the justice system. State criminal justice and law enforcement officials foresee a time when vital information will be electronically shared among police departments, government agencies, courts, and other criminal justice entities in Illinois. This issue concentrates on the development of integrated computer systems as a priority issue.
This edition carries three articles on violence against the elderly. The first article is a profile of the Shawnee Alliance for Seniors in Carterville, Illinois, which offers help to senior citizens through 18 social service programs. The second article in this edition covers the extent of elder abuse in Illinois. The third article covers elder homicide in Chicago.
